Grit Guards are essential in Detailing and car care, grit guards are placed at the bottom of your wash and rinse buckets, its radial grid surface extracts grit and dirt from your wash mitt, every time you submerce your wash mitt you will rub your mitt on the grit guard at the bottom of the bucket this will release any grit and dirt from your mitt and keep it safely at the bottom of the bucket preventing the dirt or grit from being transferred back onto your vehicle.
